Once a year

Once a year the celestial beings don mortal masks,

living out their wanton desire without abandon.

Yes, once a year the heavens open up and out of the night sky gods mingle with men,

take wives, take husbands,

allay all destruction for one night and feast and revel

and through their revelry turn stone into sand, the rivers to glass.
